What is the air and water temperature?

The water temperature averages 18°C to 20°C in winter and 20°C to 22°C in summer.

What to do in Dakhla if I don’t kite?

You still have the vast desert to explore… and there’s plenty to do! From 4×4 desert trips, sand golf, catamaran rides on the lagoon, fishing, to visiting Dragon Island, Dakhla is an incredible playground! Request our activities brochure by email!

Can the hotel be fully privatized?

Dakhla South Bay is indeed the perfect place to host an event surrounded by your family, friends, or colleagues! In its intimate and warm atmosphere nestled in the bay, our hotel promises you unforgettable moments.

What should I pack?

We are in the heart of the Sahara Desert… so daytime temperatures can be mild to hot depending on the wind. Nights, however, are much cooler and quite humid! Pack light beachwear for the day as well as warm clothing for mornings and evenings (hoodie, sweatpants, beanie). For footwear, bring sandals and sneakers! During the day, wear a cap or hat.

In your toiletry bag, don’t forget a high-quality sunscreen, as the Sahara sun is extremely strong! A good after-sun moisturizer is also very useful, especially after spending time in the salty water!
